Jill Bennett discusses the history and future of the National Institute for Experimental Arts, as well as some of its current successes.
Jill Bennett is the Associate Dean Research at the College of Fine Arts and the founding director of the National Institute for Experimental Arts [NIEA] and previously founded the Centre for Contemporary Art and Politics at UNSW. She has published widely on visual culture, contemporary art and new media and has a particular interest in transdisciplinary, experimental methods and their application to art, exhibitions, theory and everyday life.
