Spectacular bodies was an exhibition of Oxford Professor Martin Kemp and Marina Wallace held in 2000. It was by no means the first time that art and its histories of the body had been dissected in relation to science and medicine.
Dr Fay Brauer, discusses this exciting new field that explores art, science and medicine as an area of enquiry in art history.
She is a Senior Lecturer in Art History and Theory at COFA and Research Professor for Visual Art Theory at the University of East London.
This talk was recorded live at COFA on April 20, 2010 as part of the free COFA Talks public lecture series.
